Hosanna Church is a vibrant, multi-cultural, christian community found in Cannons Creek, Porirua. We've been a part of the Porirua community for over 50 years and welcome anyone who desires a relationship with a loving and grace filled God. You'll find hope, love, friendships for life and a place to call home.

OUR BELIEFS

We believe in God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit - one God.
We believe God inspired the bible and it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We take communion regularly to remember Jesus' death and resurrection.
We believe in the full immersion of believers as the only scriptural form of water baptism.
We believe in the true humanity and deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe salvation comes from Jesus Christ alone. All who believe in God and repent from their sins can be saved.
We believe the Holy Spirit sets us apart, empowers us and gives us spiritual gifts.
We believe in all members of the church being involved in ministry serving Christ.

Our Structure

Hosanna Porirua is part of the Baptist Union of NZ and the wider Christian Church. We are lead by a team of pastors and elders.

Adele

Adele Vannathy

Adele is our Senior Pastor. Led by God, she is responsible for the strategy and execution of the church vision, and overall leadership. Adele is married to Duk and they are often seen delivering powerful dances during Sunday services.

Robert

Robert Rodriguez

Rob is our Intern Pastor, joining the pastoral team in 2018. Originally from Texas, Rob moved to Porirua in 2014 and is married to a local girl, Laura. You will see Robert regularly deliver teaching messages to the church during Sunday services.

Steven

Steven Knipping

Steven is one of our church elders. Our elders are responsible for spiritual oversight and overall care of the church.
